    Dammam Community College

Dammam Community College (DCC) officially admitted students on September 01, 2003. Dammam Community College is under the auspices of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, approved by the Minister of Higher Education and is regulated by the Council of Higher Education. HRH King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al- Saud, the present King, inaugurated DCC on July 2004. In attendance were the ministers of Higher Education, Health and Labor and Social Affairs, the Rector of KFUPM, the Governor of Dammam, H R H Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, and several distinguished community members.

Dammam Community College’s objectives are to provide and ensure students the same high quality of educational standards as those of KFUPM; while simultaneously coordinating with the demands and requirements of the community, government, social institutions, businesses and industry. DCC utilizes the latest technology to enhance students' career opportunities and to promote future prospects.

Dammam Community College offers an Associate Degree in three academic programs:

Associate Degrees

The college will award associate degrees in the following majors:
1 - Accounting
2 - Computer & Information Technology
3 - Human Resource Management
4 - Marketing

5 - Safety Technology
6 - Supply Chain Management

The medium of instruction is English. All new students are required to complete the Preparatory Year Program before starting their undergraduate study. Students may be exempted from part or the entire program, if successful in one or both promotion examinations. The undergraduate programs are scheduled for two years.

The academic program is intended to satisfy both the individual educational and vocational needs of students and to satisfy the needs of the Saudi employment environment.
An associate degree graduate can after a period of work experience, gain a bachelor degree in his associate degree field, at a recognized university in the kingdom as long as he satisfies that university's entrance requirements.

Students can be enrolled for one of these majors in either September or January of each academic year beginning in September.

Program Duration:
Students will study for their associate degree over a period of three academic years. The first year will involve a Preparatory Year Program where students will study English, Mathematics, Physical Education and Computer & Information Technology . The remaining two years will involve essentially intense studies for their respective associate degree

Dammam Community College courses are free. Students do not receive a stipend or monetary assistance whilst at the college.
