Program Objectives:
The Associate Degree in
Computer Applications prepares
students for employment in a wide variety of
computer positions in business, industry, and
government. It provides basic skills in hardware
configuration, troubleshooting and repair, as well
as extensive exposure to a full range of software
applications for personal computers including
spreadsheets, database programs, graphics,
networking, and multimedia.
Program Outcomes:
Graduates of this program will be able to
perform the following tasks:
1 - Run off-the-shelf
commercial software
2 - Troubleshoot personal computers
3 - Develop databases
After completing the program, students will be
adequately prepared to sit for exams for:
1 - A+
2 - Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
3 - Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
